Avara Construction completed a comprehensive renovation of an existing commercial building, transforming it into a biotech facility. Acting as general contractor, our team reconfigured more than 13,600 square feet of interior space to support new operations, including updated partitions, ceilings, doors, finishes, and full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system upgrades. The project also required specialized safety features, accessibility compliance, and exterior site improvements. Delivered under strict adherence to current Washington State codes, the facility reflects a modernized, functional environment designed for long-term use in the biotech sector.
Key Project Highlights:
-
Interior Buildout – Reconfiguration of reception, offices, specialized labs, restrooms, and support spaces to meet biotech facility requirements.
-
Systems Upgrades – Comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing improvements.
-
Safety & Accessibility – Installation of safety glazing, grab bars, anti-ligature hardware, and ADA-compliant features.
-
Exterior Enhancements – Accessible parking, revised striping and signage, and landscaping updates.
