During the pre-construction process, Avara helped Rocky Pond Winery develop a laundry list of value engineering options that ultimately helped reduce construction costs and still gave the winery the quality space they needed to operate. We were given the space in nearly cold shell condition with only one outdated unit in the space, which was not connected. Thus, redesigning the space into a food service use with catering kitchen required significant MEP upgrades and distribution, concrete demolition and pour back, demolition, and rough carpentry.
The winery includes a large refrigeration storage area, catering kitchen, front bar and back bar with oak countertops with eased edges, high-end casework, angle top metals, and NANA Wall system for their private conference area. Other project attributes include new restrooms, doors, glazing, ceilings, paint, drywall, window treatments, kitchen equipment, fire sprinklers, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, and audio visual connections.
