Our team converted an underutilized office area into a vibrant retail space at Market Place in Seattle, WA, ultimately creating the chic and modern Locust Cider bar. This project involved the complete demolition and full-trade reconstruction of the entire 5,800 SF retail floor, delivering a contemporary and inviting atmosphere for customers.
A significant portion of the space—2,200 SF—was dedicated to Locust Cider, a stylish and welcoming cider bar. The project required comprehensive MEP upgrades, premium finishes, and architectural enhancements to establish a high-end, functional venue that aligns with the brand’s identity.
Key Project Highlights:
- Modern Retail & Bar Concept – Transformed a former office area into a sophisticated cider bar with a warm, industrial aesthetic.
- Full-Scale MEP Upgrades – Improved mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to support a high-performance retail environment.
- Polished Concrete Flooring – Sleek and durable flooring for a clean, modern look.
- NANA Wall Installation – High-end retractable glass walls, providing seamless indoor-outdoor integration.
- Custom Wood Lat Ceiling Clouds – A striking ceiling design that adds warmth and dimension to the space.
- Service Bar & Lounge Seating – Thoughtfully designed bar and seating areas, creating a comfortable and inviting customer experience.
- Upgraded Storefront & Street Visibility – Improved exterior storefront elements, enhancing foot traffic appeal and branding presence.
Through strategic planning, high-quality craftsmanship, and innovative design, Avara delivered a high-end retail space that supports both functionality and aesthetics, making Locust Cider a standout addition to Seattle’s Market Place.
