Avara Construction successfully completed its second buildout for Brown & Brown at Columbia Center in 2022, following the first project in 2018. This renovation involved a significant transformation of an existing office space, requiring extensive demolition and reconstruction to accommodate Brown & Brown’s evolving needs. Despite facing procurement challenges due to supply chain constraints, Avara efficiently expedited material acquisition to ensure an on-time move-in.
The revamped space now features a blend of open office areas, private offices, collaborative workspaces, and conference rooms, offering a dynamic and functional environment for the Brown & Brown team.
Key Project Highlights:
- Expedited Material Procurement – Overcame supply chain delays for casework, doors, and glazing.
- Extensive Demolition & Rebuild – Removed existing finishes, walls, and ceilings to create a modern layout.
- Enhanced Office Design – Integrated open workspaces, private offices, phone rooms, and collaborative areas.
- Upgraded MEP & Finishes – Modernized mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for improved functionality.
- Large Conference Room Addition – Designed for meetings with glass partitions featuring frosted skyline designs.
- Feature Art & Aesthetic Enhancements – Added artistic elements, including a striking mural, to enhance workplace ambiance.
- Efficient Timeline Execution – Coordinated closely with Allbee Romein to ensure project completion met the move-in deadline.
Through strategic planning, strong collaboration, and a commitment to quality, Avara successfully delivered a high-performance workspace tailored to Brown & Brown’s operational needs.
