Avara completed the first project for Brown & Brown in 2018, and we were leveraged to complete the second buildout for them at Columbia Center in 2022. The project was given a tight timeline with numerous procurement challenges given the tough supply chain issues with materials. Avara expedited a number of material procurement hurdles including casework, doors, and glazing in order to meet the timeline for Brown & Brown’s move-in date.

The existing space was a dense build out that required significant demolition of the existing finishes, walls, and ceiling. Avara worked closely with Allbee Romein during the procurement process to assure Brown & Brown would meet their move in date. There was significant build back of MEP and finishes for open office areas, large conference rooms, collaborative areas, phone rooms, and private offices.

Chelsey Openshaw is a CPA with experience serving a variety of clients and industries in the accounting field.
Chelsey Openshaw brings years of experience in accounting, the preparation of financial statements, and a client focused mentality to the Avara Team. Her attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management enable her to lead the operations and accounting functions at Avara. Her experience includes an undergraduate and masters degree in accounting at the University of Washington as well as professional experience as an auditor and financial reporting accountant.

Assistant Business Manager

Chelsey Openshaw experience stems from a long list of successful new construction and commercial interior projects.

Chelsey Openshaw a wealth of experience in ground-up construction spanning retail, multi-tenant residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and health & fitness. Jason has nearly 10 years’ succeeding experience as a Project Engineer, and leverages his education and can-do attitude to make sure all of the details are thoughtfully considered throughout the lifecycle of the project.
